Chaplain & Student Leaders
The Rev’d Joshua Thomas is Episcopal University Chaplain at Boston University and Lecturer in Religious Education at BU’s School of Theology. Originally from Pennsylvania, Josh came to the Episcopal Church while an undergrad at Dartmouth College and was ordained a priest in the Episcopal Diocese of New Hampshire.
Josh graduated from Union Theological Seminary in New York and is finishing a PhD from Emory University in Atlanta. His focus is interfaith peace education with children, and he serves as Executive Director of Kids4Peace USA – an interfaith education program for Jewish, Christian and Muslim youth in cooperation with the Episcopal Diocese of Jerusalem.
Before coming to BU, Josh served parish and campus ministries in New York, Atlanta and New Hampshire. He loves to travel and cook (sample some delicious food at the Wednesday night dinners!).
Josh is available to meet with students, faculty and staff to talk about faith, live, or whatever is on your mind. Email episcop@bu.edu
Jeff Dodge is Chapel Associate for Episcopal ministries at Marsh Chapel. He helps bring an Episcopal presence into the wider religious life of Boston University and connects students with the Chaplaincy.
